Oak Grove Farms: How it all started
Welcome to Oak Grove Farms, where dreams are nurtured, and the fruits of our labor are shared with you.
Our story began in 2012 when Zach Erhard, a driven 18-year-old with a passion for farming, embarked on a journey to create something special with his brother, Josh. As first-generation farmers, the road wasn’t easy. There were long days, steep learning curves, and countless trials and errors. But Zach’s determination paid off, and that very year, he experienced his first successful produce season. It was just the beginning.
Zach’s roots are in Gallatin, TN, where he started small, selling produce from tents on the roadside. By 2016, his path crossed with mine—Kyndle. At the time, I was a student at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, studying Child and Family Studies. Although I had little knowledge of farming, my curiosity and Zach’s enthusiasm drew me into his world. Together, we attended farmers' markets, learned the ropes, and fell in love with the land and each other. In 2018, we tied the knot right here on the farm, with a ceremony by the pond and a reception in our greenhouse—a night we’ll cherish forever.
Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

How It’s Going & Plans for the Future
Since those early days, the Lord has blessed us beyond measure. Oak Grove Farms has grown into something far greater than we ever imagined. We've moved through four different locations, each step bringing us closer to where we are now—settled on a 2.5-acre commercial lot in Gallatin, Tennessee. Our home is on a 71-acre farm that we’re nurturing with big dreams for the future, though it’s not yet open to the public.
As we look ahead, we're excited about the new relationships we'll forge and the memories we'll create. Oak Grove Farms is more than just a business; it's our life's work and our greatest passion. We can’t wait to share it with you. See you at the market!
