Community Supported Agriculture

Community Supported Agriculture...
connects the farmer to the customer in a way like never before. This way you can learn more about where your food comes from and how it is raised. It is a powerful investment in your health, community, and local economy.
The way it works is that you, the customer, will purchase a "share" of our farm usually before the season begins. This payment will be returned to you by way of high quality fresh fruits and vegetables generally picked that morning each week throughout the growing season. This helps the customer eat extremely fresh, local, in-season produce on a regular basis.

Each week, you will receive your "share" which is a basket full of produce that will change in variety as the season progresses. There will generally be between 6-12 different types of fruits and vegetables each week. We have different sized options suitable for each customer's needs. This can help those who choose to eat at home most of the week to really benefit from adding more fresh, local produce to their diet.
Weekly shares will be picked up at predetermined locations and times that are convenient for the customer.
Because this is our second year to offer CSA there are limited pick-up locations. We plan to add new locations in the future; and if you are in an area that we do not currently serve, please contact us with your interest so we may evaluate your area as a potential pick-up location! Some of the vegetables that will be included in the shares:

  • Spring: Lettuces, Kale, Chard, Onions, Strawberries, Squash, Zucchini, Beets, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Peas, Carrots, Cabbage & Spinach
  • Summer: Tomatoes (Slicing, Cherry & Heirloom), Sweet Corn, Onions, Green Beans, Squash, Zucchini, Peaches, Blueberries, Blackberries, Potatoes, Cucumbers (Pickling & Slicing), Peppers (Hot, Sweet, Bell), Eggplant, Okra, Watermelon & Cantaloupe.
  • We will also provide value-added items such as our very own strawberry jam, spaghetti sauce, and tomato juice, etc. in addition to all of these.

  • Because we do not currently grow Blueberries, Blackberries, and Peaches, these items will be sourced from other local, high quality sources and therefore could be in more limited supply. However, since we believe these items are a favorite by many, we will try our best to work with other local farmers to provide the best variety possible. We do plan on adding Blueberries and Blackberries to the crops that we grow within the next couple of years.

    Farmer/Member Agreement

*We ask all new members to carefully read the following document. These are the guidelines that keep our CSA running smoothly, and you will be responsible for knowing them.
Community supported agriculture is a relationship one step above a simple convenience, a give and take of produce for cash. It is based on mutual respect between the customers and the farmers. With that being said, CSA is not for everyone! With the CSA model, members pay in advance for the food they will receive, reflecting the risk that the farm takes to plant, tend, and harvest crops.
Your CSA Basket will have 6 – 12 different seasonal items including: vegetables, fruits, canned goods, flowers, and a few other local surprises. We grow multiple varieties of many crops. Our CSA baskets are ever changing, just like the seasons. You will receive a mix of handpicked produce full of farm fresh flavor and nutrients each and every week of the CSA season. We value our CSA customers highly and encourage you to share your produce and recipes with friends and family.
In the unforeseen event that you are unable to pick up your share in any given week, please contact us 24 hours in advance or have someone (a family member or friend) pick up your share. Although we cannot guarantee it, with proper advanced notification we will do our best get your basket to you. We do not give reimbursements for missed pickups.
